A mountain tour to Monte Generoso was planned for this day, but Hermann was not allowed to take part at this trip, which made him really disappointed as he was asking for a photo with him on the top of the mountain, if he had knew in advance how the day would develop he would have not asked in such an intense way.
In the rack-and-pinion railway from Capolago to the summit of Monte Generoso at an altitude of 1790m (5873ft) they went the way up in some fourty minutes. Only interrupted when in a tunnel a herd of goats had decided to use the railway also because it is the most comfortable way to get up there. The weather was fine until they arrived at the summit.
But soon after they have arrived on the top of the mountain there was just a minute to take a photo and soon clouds appeared and you could see nothing, no panorama - only clouds were to be seen.
Another thunder followed in the evening, of course.
The day began with cooking coffe. Because there was nothing better available, coffee powder had to be literally cooked. Wasn't that bad, but took some time. Children, don't try this at home: At a certain point in time it will boil over and even with greatest care it will happen from time to time that you will have to clean the stove afterwards...
In the sequel I had my first daytrip this year. My owners have taken me with them to famous Logano at the other end of Lake Lugano. The city itself was somehow an underarchiever compared with the expectations rising from a great name. I have heard this from the tellings only, because my owners decided to leave me in the car. But they brought some nice photos from the walk.
Afternoon of course welcomed us with some thunders again, which this time did not stop for
the whole night. It was ni that bad because the animals in the roof were obviously way frightened and to it was a quite quiet night somehow...
